Can't remember where I started this thread, so I've started another. If you remember I was hoping to take Bubbles down to the adoption centre on Sunday, as she was getting quite aggresive, which I think is due to frustration. Well, unfortunately they can't take her, ggggrr, so poor Bubbles has to stay in the pen for the time being. Don't know what to do, to alleviate her boredom, if that is what's wrong with her, maybe she's just a narky cat. Laughing

Awww, poor Bubbles. There's not much you can do, unless you're willing to lock Sophie, Moto and Teddy in a room together (Oh gads! Imagine the trouble that would cause! LOL) and give her run of the house for a bit... Or can she be given a larger room to run about in for an hour or so? Its difficult as her scent everywhere would prob upset Sophie and then you'll end up with two narky cats! What about letting her chase the laser pen around her pen? It may tire her out enough? Or give her a bit of catnip and let her go mad for a bit? Oh I really don't know, there prob isn't anything really. The sooner she can be rehomed the better ey? Poor lamb, and poor you too! It must be so frustrating, seeing her like this and knowing there isn't much you can do about it. But you are keeping her safe and warm and fed and giving her love in the interim of her finding her forever home, so don't feel bad, you are doing all you can for her, its just such a shame that she's frustrated. x

I think that's the only thing that's good about pens, we know they're safe and warm. Today I went into see her and of course madam had to follow, so there I was inside with Bubbles going berserk and Sophie outside going berserk, I tell thee, it's a mighty scary situation to be in, two cats going ballistic. Then while I was cleaning out her tray she came over and attacked my hand and started hissing. I suppose this was a reaction to Sophie, but my hand was not impressed. When I next go in I think I will wear full combat uniform. LOL

lol (but just a little as 'ouch') Oh dear. Can you keep Sophie inside when you go out to see Bubbles? (Ahhhh crap, poor Bubbles name has been ruined for me, I know its because she has those lovely markings, but I've just remembered that was the name of Wacko Jackos' chimp! Smile )

I've renamed her * Cruella De Claws*, oooohhh the hissy fits. LOL Just spent 10 minutes with her out in the *playpen* and I am so glad I took the fishing rod style toy with me, she doesn't think twicw about using those claws. Left my two in the house sleeping soundly so off I went to play with Cruella and within 2 minutes the pair of them were sitting outside watching. Sophie goes for her but not Moto, he only goes for Sophie, LOL but Cruella went for him. You should have seen his face it was a picture, almost as much to say * what? I wasn't doing anything *, poor soul got a right scare. LOL

I put Teddy's harness on to take him out and she went for him as well, definately got a problem so she has.

Teddy doesn't like the harness, he actually hissed at me when I was taking it off, he's not to keen on being outside either, he slinks along the ground on his belly, maybe by summer he will be used to it.

Yep....nobody will want to rehome her for fear of being savaged Wink Laughing

Actually.....I know Neil would take her. He ALWAYS goes for the runts of the litter, the shy, the injured - so soft he is Very Happy

Perhaps all Miss de Vil needs is a permanent home where she can be left to settle in at her own speed and not have folks forcing themselves onto her and expecting cuddles and stuff all the time Confused Possibly, given time, she could lose her fear/aggression and settle down - perhaps never be the sort of cat you can hug or cuddle on it's back but a nice cat nonetheless Very Happy

Neil would probably say she's misunderstood and just needs a hug Rolling Eyes Laughing *cue Neil losing his eyes LOL* Laughing

LOL, oh you can pick her up and cuddle her, she doesn't struggle to be put down, it's just that her idea of fun is to bite your nose, and I mean bite, not a gentle little nip. She always lies on her back when you play with her but there is just no way you would stroke her belly, I haven't attempted that and I don't think I will. LOL

Hmmmm... little Bubbles/Cruella sounds quite a lot like Pok... just that he's stopped attacking all other cats (he used to when he was younger)...

Are you guys gonna take her to the centre tomorrow?
