Hello peeps

I migrated over Wink Laughing

I'm Gill (cat~mad on other sites), 39 years old and married to Neil.

We live in Alnwick, Northumberland but are planning to move to Cumbria (either Penrith or Whitehaven way) in February/March 2009 as we spend all of our holidays in the Lake District anyway and we have quite a few friends there Very Happy Until we move though I am squirrelling away every spare penny I can - in a separate account to our joint one so Neil can't spend it all! Wink Rolling Eyes Laughing
We don't have any pets at the moment but The Plan once we move is to get ourselves a cat or two and a dog Very Happy No doubt other furries will join us too as we both love all animals Wink Laughing

This looks a great site and I'm looking forward to exploring more once I get this infernal housework out of the way Wink Rolling Eyes Laughing

Its great that you've came! Oh I do loooooove the Lake District, my partner knows it much better than I, I've only ventured into the usual suspects, but have fell in love with the hungarian golash served in (?) the dog and gun (?) in Keswick. It comes with a big dumping and the golash over! Yummmmmmy! Drrooooolllllllllllll! Next holiday we will prob take our tents virginity in the lakes! lol

Keep saving, you'll make it there! Have you seen those log cabins that you can have built? Fraction of the cost of a house, there's a company that does them and they can be 'placed' certain places in the lakes and some lochs in Scotland... argh wish I could remember where I saw them! Sounds so tempting! Smile

Yes, they ARE nice....and quite warm too apparently! Very Happy Neil has already looked into them Laughing If we ever win the lottery we intend to buy a LOT of land so we can have all our animals and want to build our own place so that we get it exactly the way we want it.
Neil's favourite programme is Grand Designs (back with a new series this coming Wednesday apparently!) and I HAVE to watch it with him Rolling Eyes There's no point in trying to read or write a letter or tap away on the pc as he constantly interrupts me by telling me to ''Look at this'' Rolling Eyes Laughing

Oooooo... the Lake Districs is wonderful... lived there once for about 6 month.

lol! I love watching all the house programs... from Grand Designs to Homes under the Hammer and all the interior ones.
