I've never written about Sam before but now I feel I can. Sam was my first cat (as an adult) that I fostered over Christmas and ended up adopting. I was in the house myself when CP came with sam so the house was quiet and cosy, it was in an evening, and when CP let him out of his carrier he just looked so beautiful. he was a big tabby with beautiful green eyes and I fell in love. he was never a lap cat but showed his affection in other ways, he would sit beside me, not touching but close enough, he loved his ears being fondled and he talked all the time. When I came home he always came running down the path to greet me and it wasn't always for food, sometimes he just wanted petted. He was the least demanding cat I've had, as long as there was always food left out he was happy. We had him 7 years and he was 10 when he was PTS. I'll always remember that day, it was in April this year and the sun was shining, which sam always loved, he would sit in the garden for hours in the sunshine. His passing wasn't a gentle affair and it still haunts me, but in the end he was out of his misery and at peace. he's now buried in the garden with a small cat ornament over his grave, everyday I look at it and think of him. I miss him so much. Rest in peace Sammy boy, love you. x _________________

Sweet dreams, dear Sam! I'm sure you still pop by the garden, to keep your mom company and enjoying the sun. One day you'll be together again... until then chase those butterflies! _________________

Rest in peace dear Sam. Your memory lives on. Chase those butterflies, play, run and be free little one, until your mum comes for you. x _________________
